Supervision and Control in Educational Organizations: An Integrated Review

Introduction: Education is the main engine of development and also the support point around which every activity revolves. To truly achieve the goals and objectives of education, there must be effective quality control and supervision. The purpose of this study is to examine the benefits and challenges of supervision and control in educational organizations.
Methods: The current research is an integrated review based on articles related to the benefits, challenges, and recommendations of supervision and control in educational organizations, which was conducted to collecting information on studies conducted in this field. In this study, the method proposed by Whittemore & Knafl is used, which consists of five steps: A: identifying and determining the goal, B: searching for sources, C: evaluating data, D: analyzing data, and E: presenting results. . Using this method increases the accuracy of the study.
Results: The result of the initial comprehensive search included 359 articles, and finally 11 articles were included in the study. The findings showed that the benefits and challenges of supervision and control in educational organizations are very large. But the main causes in educational organizations are the influence of supervision and control on the quality of education and the productivity of teachers, the enthusiasm and motivation of teachers towards the quality of the educational program, and improving the academic status of students.
Conclusion: Considering the positive impact of supervision and control on the quality of education, it is suggested that educational organizations have a written plan for supervision and control in their organizations. The studies conducted showed that there are very few researches in the field of monitoring and control in universities, and considering the advantages and challenges mentioned, it is necessary for researchers to pay more attention to the issue of monitoring and control in universities. And this can improve the quality of education in universities.
